Mid-Missouri

Mid-Missouri Mandolins are crafted in the age old tradition of people using hand tools of chisels, rasps, and files. They are made with real woods, all solid and hand selected for each instrument we make. Each instrument is then hand assembled.

Morgan Monroe

Legend has it...generations ago in the hills of southern Indiana lived a man named Morgan Monroe who was a musical craftsman that shaped the local hardwoods into the finest stringed instruments around, and in the process he turned the local timber supply into national folklore. Today when you pick up a Morgan Monroe instrument you can tell from the first note that the high standards he set long ago will never go out of style and the more things change...the more they stay the same.

Howard Morris

Howard Morris mandolins are "hand made" and skillfully crafted in the mountains of Oregon. To date, only 55 mandolins have been crafted. Howard uses Maple, Spruce, Koa, Black Walnut , Mesquite, and other choice woods in his assembling of these fine instruments. The finishes range from natural hand rubbed to beautful golden brown sunburst. The action is smooth and the tone clear and bright. A fine choice for an affordable hand crafted instrument. "I own one myself and just love it"... Josh Pettit, Ozark Mountain Music.

Collings

As the business has grown and processes refined, there is one thing that has not changed...Bill Collings’ commitment to building the finest acoustic steel string instruments possible. Bill Collings moved from Ohio to Texas in the mid 1970’s. Spurred by a lack of interest in medical school, this move enabled him to combine lifelong interests in both guitars and tools into the challenge of stringed instrument building and repair. His work is respected by professional and amateur musicians alike…anyone on the quest for quality.
