Blueridge Guitars

Each Blueridge has the traditional dovetail neck/body joint and each model's neck features and adjustable truss rod. The Kluson style enclosed tuning machines with "butterbean" buttons, in either gold or nickel, have the perfect vintage look, yet offer modern precision and feel. These fine Blueridge guitars are certainly throwbacks to an earlier era when craftsmanship and quality reigned supreme. These original designs look like they came from the 1920's. They perfectly capture the style and spirit of the Golden Era, and you will not find inlays of this quality on any current guitar at anywhere near this affordable price.

Morgan Monroe

Legend has it...generations ago in the hills of southern Indiana lived a man named Morgan Monroe who was a musical craftsman that shaped the local hardwoods into the finest stringed instruments around, and in the process he turned the local timber supply into national folklore. Today when you pick up a Morgan Monroe instrument you can tell from the first note that the high standards he set long ago will never go out of style and the more things change...the more they stay the same.

Richard Hoover began building guitars and carved-top mandolins in 1972. By 1976, his focus was on the modern steel string guitar. The task of becoming a master at all aspects of guitar making is a lifelong pursuit and Richard has patiently refined his craftsmanship and knowledge as his company has grown. It was and is Richard's intent to translate his skills and sensitivities as an individual builder to an exceptional team of craftspeople, each of whom could become an expert in their specialty. Richard's style of allowing his craftspeople to interpret his vision has propelled Santa Cruz Guitar Company to the forefront of modern guitar making.

Collings

As the business has grown and processes refined, there is one thing that has not changed...Bill Collings’ commitment to building the finest acoustic steel string instruments possible. Bill Collings moved from Ohio to Texas in the mid 1970’s. Spurred by a lack of interest in medical school, this move enabled him to combine lifelong interests in both guitars and tools into the challenge of stringed instrument building and repair. His work is respected by professional and amateur musicians alike…anyone on the quest for quality.

Larrivee Guitars

Jean Larrivée first became interested in the guitar as a teenager, trying to play Duane Eddy licks on an $18 guitar. At twenty, with no other musical training in his background, he made the decision to take up a serious study of classic guitar. Four years into this study, he was introduced to German classical guitar builder Edgar Mönch, who was then working in Toronto. Jean expressed interest in learning how to build, Mönch invited him to visit his shop, and so began an apprenticeship. Jean built his first two guitars under Mönch's tutelage before setting up a workshop in his home, where he continued to build and study. The energy which had fueled nightly five hour practice sessions was now directed toward learning to construct instruments. He had found his life's work.

Taylor Guitars

Since 1974, Taylor and Listug, have made musical-instrument history by becoming the first American luthiers in this century to take an acoustic guitar company from one-off shop to production-level manufacturer without relinquishing ownership or creative control.

But our passion for making music and our mission of providing musicians with a great instrument they can rely on to express themselves will always remain constant.
